We are now looking for a Tax Process Architect who will be responsible for designing and delivering the overall tax process, supporting the Enterprise Process Lead, Tax. This will involve ensuring that opportunities for process enhancement and modernisation are delivered and that the overall process and technology design meets business objectives and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do:
Lead the design of tax processes in S/4 HANA and related systems covering the end-to-end tax process for one or more of the following areas of tax – indirect tax, operational transfer pricing and/or group reporting, creating a global template design to continue AZ’s journey of enhancing tax processes.
Understand the transformation opportunities S/4HANA can provide and bring this to bear throughout the design.
Work with impacted stakeholders to assess the impact of the changes on the current state.
Partner with Group Tax teams, internal IT and external parties to realise the design through the build phase of the template.
Contribute to the design and definition of the tax data model in S/4 HANA.
Acts as a source of knowledge in one or more areas of S/4HANA and Tax processes, defining and communicating current and future business improvement needs and opportunities
Provide the expertise with regards to S/4HANA capability and standard process design for Tax
Support the Enterprise Process Lead for Tax in ensuring that the design maximises opportunities for improvements and covers all areas for a successful transition
Oversees and provide expert technical support to a team, potentially across different global locations
Builds key design decisions for presentation to relevant partner groups to seek approval/feedback.
Clarify and complete the key S/4HANA global design activities that will generate the golden template; scope definition, identification of the standard process
Ensure that the standard process design is based on standard SAP S/4HANA, documenting and agreeing exceptions where appropriate.
Develop and run “fit to standard” workshops to align and confirm the golden template with a cross section of the business
Create and sustain key project artefacts required to develop a successful transition to SAP S/4HANA, including the end to end process flows and key elements of the information model
Liaises with the data team to provide requirements and the guide rails for the cleanse and clear data activity.
Ensures that all improvement project work is carried out with regards to AstraZeneca standards and external regulations
Networks with colleagues across the business and experts to identify business improvement opportunities
Ensures efficient and effective leadership and management of business Improvement projects
Keeps self and others up to date on recent developments and emerging trends on an internal and external basis
Maintains the process and technology for identifying and tracking continuous improvement initiatives
Prioritises Tax improvement issues and delivers own business improvement findings and recommendations to a cross-functional team
Please note, this role will report into the Enterprise process Lead, Tax
Essential for the role:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (or equivalent)
Significant experience in Business Improvement
