The role

The Account Manager will be responsible for an established product with huge potential within Neuroscience. You will be covering the indications for spasticity and dystonia and be part of our Therapeutic Neurotoxin team in Scandinavia, reporting to Scandinavian Sales Manager for Therapeutic Neurotoxins. You are part of the cross functional IF-team consisting of Commercial, Medical and Market Access among other functions. We have a leading treatment established in the market cross-Scandinavia with our product and in this role, you will be responsible for Therapeutic Neurotoxin in Stockholm/VGR region.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Professional Account Management approach to grow our business in hospitals.
  • Collaborate, update and feedback cross-functionally to entire Neuroscience team. Continuously share best practice and ideas within Scandinavian team. Provide regular, transparent and specific information on the business situation on Territory/Country.
  • AM will develop and update Account Plans to broaden product use within approved indications. The plan will list the objectives & business targets, actions to be carried out, timing and resource allocation (budget, internal support). AM is responsible to work cross functionally and for each account plan implementation and outcomes. Plans should be updated every quarter for top accounts. Being a supportive team player is a must.
  • Together with Market Access identify growth opportunity through a better referral pathway and implement all actions optimizing patient treatment.
  • Deliver a positive, ethic, scientific and clinical based co-op to Hospital stakeholders. Create a strong partnership between Abbvie and the customer through the design of product and non-product specific service offerings to achieve mid to long term growth. Implement consistently sales and marketing strategy, develop relationships and influence at all stakeholder levels of the hospital organization.
  • Lead commercial activities on district level, to maximize short- and long-term performance, placing the patient at the center of any efforts and operating within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Deliver activities according to plan and relevant Brand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), in order to meet or exceed national and/or district sales plans within expense budgets.
  • Ensure district priorities, activities, and Account Plans are aligned with brand strategy and national strategic priorities in order to optimize strategic momentum and drive brand success.
  • Actively seek, identify, analyze, and present new business or growth opportunities and improvement ideas on an ongoing basis.
  • Proactively and continuously aspire to serve key stakeholder needs, expectations, and challenges in order to build trusted key stakeholder relationships and to achieve win-win agreements on a continuous basis.
  • Influence opinions of key stakeholders (i.e. defined KOLs, high prescribing physicians etc.) to maximize brand performance.

Additional responsibilities:


  • Manage projects within promotional budgets.
  • Appetite for self leadership and development as well as a strong team player
  • Grow business and establish strong leadership for the product within hospitals.
  • Develop new activities and high-productivity injection centers for existing indications.
  • Identify local referral opportunities to allow more patients to be treated.
  • Build and strengthen Abbvie local image (ethic, clinical expertise, added value, scientific accuracy and commercial effectiveness) with local environment.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of territory, including healthcare offer, existing activity, potential, competition position and activities.



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Medical Sales Representative degree
  • Solid & consistent track record of account management
  • Driver’s license
  • Relevant business experience with a proven track record of success within biotech/pharma sales in at least one therapeutic area
  • Ability to build strong relationships with External Experts and other relevant stakeholders
  • Ability to think and plan strategically (work plans, activities, timetables, targeting) and operate with execution excellence
  • Excellent knowledge in selling techniques, account planning, and customer interaction models
  • Knowledge of Swedish Healthcare system (organization, funding, regulation)
  • Excellent English language skills, both in speaking and writing

Additional Information:

Location: Sweden, Stockholm area or Västra Götaland/ Göteborg (VGR) area.

Travel: Field based position requiring extensive travel
