Job Title: Data Engineer - Business Intelligence Project
Location: Södertälje, Sweden (Only for candidates with a valid work visa)
Project Duration: 18th September 2023 to 30th June 2024
Job Description: We are seeking skilled Data Engineers to join our Business Intelligence (BI) project team in Södertälje, Sweden. The project aims to expand our client's capacity and capability for BI by automating data pipelines, implementing governance for information and data, and creating robust and maintainable BI reports and analytics. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and automating data pipelines to support the BI initiatives.
Requirements:
Master of Science degree (candidates with other levels of education will be considered if they have a proven track record of relevant work experience).
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C, and related technologies.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on BI projects.
Familiarity with Power BI and Amazon AWS for BI reporting and cloud solutions.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Fluency in both Swedish and English on a professional level.
Tasks:
Design, develop, and automate data pipelines to facilitate efficient data flow for BI reporting.
Ensure high data quality and accuracy in the information and data used for BI analytics.
Create a plan, requirements, and strategy for information and data governance and structure.
Set requirements for IT systems providing data to the data pipeline.
Assist the business analyst and data scientist in understanding end-consumer needs.
Document the processes and way of working related to the data pipeline.
Establish governance, including change management, for the data pipeline.
Develop data pipeline information models and data models to guide BI development.
Output:
Governance documentation, including change management for the data pipeline.
Requirements and structure for information and data governance and quality assurance.
Documentation of processes and way of working with the data pipeline.
Data pipeline information model and data model.
Remote Work:
Mandatory on-site presence on Wednesdays.
A minimum of 3 days per week on-site in Södertälje, with the flexibility to work up to 5 days on-site if required for critical tasks.
Remote work may not be possible for this role.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in setting up scaled data pipelines and migrating data pipelines.
Knowledge of the automotive industry electrical system and/or embedded systems in vehicles.
