Purpose of the Job:
The Sustainability Controller will help accelerate ASSA ABLOY's transformation towards a more sustainable future. The role will work closely with operations and supply management to help realize our medium and long-term sustainability goals and objectives, through data driven initiatives. The role will also support systems strategy and execution for the global supply management function, which is a major component of ASSA ABLOY’s overall carbon footprint.
Location flexible; Europe based.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Support the Group Sustainability Program to 2025, particularly the targets linked to Supply Management; including tracking supplier Sustainability Audits and Business Partner Code of Conduct
- Drive science-based targets Scope 3 reporting, particularly upstream, and progress updates
- Facilitate expanding Scope 3 reporting to incorporate primary data from suppliers
- Process and analyze extensive sustainability datasets, to help guide key decision making
- Participate in the Global Supply Management Council, provide monthly update reports and facilitate the global supply management data governance team
- System manager for existing supply management tools and strategies
- Work closely with the operations teams in the divisions to ensure sustainability transformation and development is an organic part of the operations strategy
- Develop and manage quarterly sustainability reporting, including data checks, generating scorecards and coordinating quarterly performance reviews with the divisions
- Support reporting to ESG indices and sustainability platforms e.g. TCFD, EU Taxonomy, GRI, S&P Global CSA, CDP, science-based targets, CSRD, CSDDD etc.
- Support development of Annual Sustainability Report
- Facilitate cross-divisional collaboration to accelerate improvements through rapid knowledge sharing
- To support preparations of senior management meetings including presentations, developing reports, producing models etc.

Who we are looking for:
- Educated to degree level, preferably in an engineering or environmental discipline
- Experience in systems strategy development and analytics in a complex manufacturing environment
- Minimum 5 years of combined applicable academic training and related work experience
- Get things done in a decentralized multinational matrix organization, without a direct reporting line
- Ability to effectively influence and interact at all levels of the organization and across business functions
- Experience in a Multinational Company would be an advantage as would experience of having worked in more than one country
- Very strong analytical and project management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to demonstrate a keen interest in sustainability
- Experience of working in multi-cultural teams. The ability to work in another major Global Language as well as English would be an advantage
